Frequently asked questions. Everything you need to know before getting started.
Do I need prior AI experience?
Not at all. The courses are designed for professionals, not programmers. We start with the essentials and quickly move into practical ways you can use AI in your everyday work. If you can open ChatGPT, Claude or CoPilot, you’re ready.
How long does the Certificate take?
Each course takes approximately 1–2 hours, so you can complete the full four-course Certificate in around 4–8 hours. You can do it in a weekend, spread it over a few weeks, or fit it around your workday — entirely up to you. Some people also like to spend a bit more time on the hands-on exercise, so you might want to factor in a couple of extra hours for that too.
Is it self-paced?
Completely. There are no fixed class times and no awkward 6 a.m. Zoom calls. Learn when it suits you, pause when work gets busy, and pick up where you left off.
How long will I have access?
You’ll have 12 months of access to the courses, giving you plenty of time to complete the programme and return to the lessons, tools and resources whenever you need a refresher.
What certificate will I receive?
Complete all four courses and you’ll receive a Certificate in Applied AI for Social Good from PoliSync. It recognises practical learning across AI foundations, responsible use, research and data, operations and planning, and communications and advocacy. Complete an individual course and you will receive a certificate of completion for that one course.
What AI tools do I need?
A computer, an internet connection and access to a generative AI tool such as ChatGPT, Claude or CoPilot are enough to get started. Many of the tools demonstrated offer free versions, and we focus on approaches and skills you can apply across different AI platforms — not on tying you to one product.
Can my organisation purchase places for a team?

Can I take just one course?
Yes. Each course can be purchased individually for €24.90. But if you’re interested in more than two, the €79 four-course bundle offers substantially better value — and completing all four earns you the full Certificate.
What happens after I purchase?
You’ll receive an email with instructions on how to access the learning platform and can start straight away. Work through the courses at your own pace, download the practical resources, and return to the material throughout your access period.
